Postpartum Care is a radical investment in your health and wellbeing. Regulated and emotionally supported Mothers bring forth regulated and emotionally resilient children.

Together, we are shifting the common experience of Postpartum to a time of deep rest, nourishment and recovery.

My care centres the needs of Mothers and Babies and creates a system of support within the existing family structure. I specialise in embedding simple and inexpensive care practices into the rhythm of your family that is specific to the physiological needs of mothers and babies.

What you can typically expect from a Postpartum Care session with me:

  • Detailed, attentive care and witnessing

  • Birth experience debrief

  • Body work

  • Food prep

  • Breast feeding support

  • Sweet treats

  • Herbal support

  • Homeopathic suggestions/energetic support

  • Sleep support/strategies

  • Family support

  • Ceremony/closing of the bones/deep counsel

How to work with me:

I offer postpartum care sessions ($100NZD/hr) with a 3-hour minimum booking. I offer a discounted package (3 sessions) available if you are wanting longer term support. Additionally, please feel free to get in-touch for a chat before you book.

I work with Mothers at any stage of postpartum — whether you are 6 weeks in or 10 years on.

Postpartum isn’t a season with a closing date. If you never got the rest, the nourishment, or the care you needed the first time round, that need doesn’t expire just because your babies have grown. It’s never too late to receive what you missed out on.

This also includes support after pregnancy loss or intentional release. If this is you, please know there is no wrong timeline for needing care, and no experience too far in the past to be tended to now.

If you are currently pregnant and want to plan ahead for your postpartum that is exactly what my Planning for the Fourth Trimester Workshop is for —come along and we will map it out together.

My services are available to Christchurch City (includes travel) and wider Canterbury (travel expenses exclusive).

Mini mother retreats

Community is one of the most important factors in adjusting to life as a new mother — yet it’s often the hardest thing to find.

If you have spent long stretches alone with your baby, wondering if this is what motherhood is supposed to feel like — you’re not alone in that, and it’s not something you just need to push through. Mothers need daily contact with people that make them feel safe with and seen These drop-in mini retreats exist to ease that isolation.

I provide a space where you and all of your children are welcomed, fed and cared for. It’s a relaxed space where Mothers can come together and be in community — with food, the option of a sauna to sweat it out and postpartum resources on hand. As a qualified postpartum doula I’m also there if you want to talk through whatever’s on your mind.

Held every first Wednesday of the month from 10am-1pm in South Christchurch.

Accessible price of $25 per retreat.

Come as you are. That’s the whole point.
